Privacy Policy

MiNT exists so a coach can publish a program once and every family receives it. That only works if families trust what happens to their information. This page says what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it, in plain English.

Effective October 1, 2026 · applies to the MiNT iOS app and mintassist.app

The short version: your data is used to run your programs and nothing else. We do not sell it, we do not show ads, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. We never see your card number.

What we collect

  • Account information. Your name, email address, and password when you create a MiNT account. You can also add a phone number and a profile photo.
  • Your family. Your kids' first names, and their photos if you add them. Your home address, if you enter one.
  • Program information. Schedules, rosters, attendance, availability, updates and questions, coach feedback (written, or recorded by the coach), photos and videos, invoices, and payment status for programs you run or your family belongs to. Payment credentials are never part of it.
  • What you do in the app. Answers like “Going” or “Can't go,” answers to a coach's questions, and settings you choose. Questions you ask MiNT. Schedule photos, files, or calendar links you ask MiNT to bring in.
  • Your notification token. If you allow notifications, the token Apple gives your phone so we can send them.
  • On our website. If you hold a seat on a team's join page, the name, email, and kids' first names you enter go to that team's coach. The website runs no analytics and sets no cookies of its own. The pay page loads Stripe's card form, which Stripe runs under its own privacy policy.
  • Messages you send us. If you email support@mintassist.app, we keep the conversation so we can help.

Signing in

You sign in with your email and a password, and we email you a 6-digit code to finish each password sign-in. You can also continue with Google or with Sign in with Apple. All of these run through our own sign-in page at auth.mintassist.app. From Google or Apple we keep only your name and email address. If you use Apple's Hide My Email, we receive the private address Apple creates for you.

Location and your home address

If you enter a home address, we look up its map coordinates and store both with your account. We use them to work out drive times and when to leave for your events. You can change or remove the address at any time.

MiNT uses your phone's location only for an event where you choose Current Location as your starting point. The phone reads it when you open that event and asks Apple Maps for the drive. Your location is never sent to MiNT, and we do not track where you are.

When you add a photo or video, MiNT uploads a fresh copy without the location, device, or software details your camera recorded.

AI features

Some features send what you give them to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce an answer:

  • Ask MiNT. Your question, the conversation so far, and details from your account that help answer it, such as your upcoming events, your kids' first names, balances, and recent coach feedback.
  • Schedules. A photo, file, or text you give MiNT to turn into events, and a request to change a schedule you manage, with your program names.
  • Coach tools. A coach's feedback notes, dictated or typed, to sort into sections, and a coach's request to draft an update.

This data is used to provide the feature, not to train our provider's models.

When you speak instead of typing, Apple's speech recognition turns your words into text. It runs on your phone when your phone supports it; otherwise Apple processes the audio under its own privacy policy.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, we store your phone's notification token with your account and send alerts about your programs through Apple Push Notification service. The alert text, such as a program's name, an update's title, or your kid's first name, passes through Apple to reach your phone. We remove the token when you sign out. You can turn notifications off in your iPhone's Settings at any time.

Children

MiNT accounts belong to adults: coaches, parents and guardians, and other adults invited to a team. Kids do not sign in and do not have accounts. A parent or coach enters a kid's first name, and a parent can add a photo. Photos and videos a coach or family shares may show kids. We do not collect anything from children directly. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to create accounts. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Where your data lives

MiNT runs on Amazon Web Services in the United States: sign-in on Amazon Cognito, our database on Amazon Aurora, and photos, videos, and recordings on Amazon S3. Data is encrypted in transit. These providers receive data to do their part of the job:

  • Amazon Web Services: hosting, sign-in, database, and storage.
  • Google Workspace: sends our email, such as sign-in codes and team invitations.
  • Google Maps Platform: address suggestions while you type, map coordinates for addresses, drive times, and weather forecasts for event locations.
  • Anthropic: the AI features above.
  • Apple: Sign in with Apple, if you choose it, notifications, speech recognition, and Apple Maps drives from Current Location.
  • Google: Google sign-in, if you choose it.
  • Stripe: card payments, when a coach turns them on.

Who can see what

Program information is visible only inside that program: the coach who runs it and the families who belong to it. The coach sees each family's names, email, and the photos they added for themselves and their kids. A family never sees another family's attendance, feedback, or balance. A coach's name, profile photo, and phone number, if the coach added one, are shown to the families in their program.

If you make a share link for photos or an album, anyone with the link can view them until the link expires or you turn it off.

If you report something in MiNT, we keep the report (what was reported, the reason, and any note you add) with your account so we can act on it, and we email it to our support team. The person who posted it is not told who reported it. If you block someone, we keep that choice with your account so it applies on all your devices. We keep reports and blocks while your account is open.

A few MiNT team members can look up account records to run the service, help you, and handle reports and deletion requests. Those lookups are logged.

We do not sell personal information, we do not share it with advertisers, and there are no ads in MiNT.

Payments

MiNT never holds your money and never sees your card number. A coach can share their own payment link, and Pay Now opens it. What you enter there is covered by that provider's privacy policy, not this one.

When a coach turns on card payments, you pay on our pay page, pay.mintassist.app, in Stripe's card form. The money goes straight to the coach's own Stripe account. Your card details go to Stripe, not to MiNT, and Stripe's privacy policy covers them. MiNT keeps the invoice and whether it was paid.

How long we keep your data

We keep personal information only as long as we need it to run the service:

  • Your account and profile: kept while your account is open.
  • Photos and videos: kept until you delete them or your account. Deleting a photo removes it from our storage, and any share link to it stops working.
  • Program information (rosters, memberships): kept while the program is running so coaches and families can use it, and removed when it is no longer needed to provide the service.
  • Questions you ask MiNT: used to answer you, not kept as a lasting record of your account.
  • Address lookups: when we find the map coordinates for an address, we keep the address and its coordinates in a lookup table that is not tied to any account, so the same address is not looked up twice.
  • Service logs: the technical logs our servers write are deleted after 90 days or sooner.
  • Backups: we keep copies of our database so we can recover from a failure. Deleted data can stay in a backup until that backup is removed.

Deleting your account

In MiNT, open Settings, then Help, then Delete account. If your account is waiting on an invitation, tap Request account deletion on the invitation screen. After you confirm, MiNT shows a receipt with the date. We delete your account and the data tied to it within 30 days and email you when it is done. You can keep using MiNT until then.

You can also email support@mintassist.app from your account address.

If you run a program, we will email you first about handing it on or closing it, because its families still use it. Updates, attendance, or invoices that another family still needs may stay with the program without your name.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update this page and the effective date above, and tell you in the app when the change is significant.
